Software developers of applications design, test, and edit computer applications or specialized utility programs. They will also analyze end user needs and create solutions through software or build new software. They may also customize existing software for clients to increase operations efficiency. Many will study and create databases within an application area, working individually or as a team to develop the database or supervise computer programmers.
