Market research analysts and marketing specialists examine market conditions in local, regional and national areas. They will also gather information to help understand potential sales of a product or service in an area. Creation of a marketing campaign is a common duty. They will also need to study the practices of competitors, prices of competing products, prices, sales and advertising and distribution practices of competitors to best leverage their client's or firm's products.
