Industrial engineering technicians implement engineering theory and principles to issues of industrial layout or manufacturing production. Usually under the supervision or guidance of engineering staff, they may also implement time and motion studies on worker operations in a number of industries for uses such as establishing standard production rates and increased efficiency.
